It’s never too early to start thinking about how you might like to display your images in your home.

I offer a wide range of fine art products, from archival prints to framed wall art, all of which can be tailored to you and your home decor.

When and where will my session take place?

Sessions take place at pre-determined locations throughout Northamptonshire (see above for upcoming sessions). I’ve taken great care to choose a variety of locations where I know your dog will be comfortable and safe, and I’m confident that I can get the absolute best out of environment, giving you the best possible images.

Limited Edition Sessions are available on pre-determined dates (listed above) held a few times throughout the year. Each date has a small number of time slots to choose from, tailored to the available sunlight at that time of year to ensure that I can offer you the best possible conditions for brilliant images.

What happens if it rains?

We all know how unpredictable British weather can be! My style of work is hugely dependent on good light and dry conditions, so if the weather is unfavourable on the day then I will reschedule the sessions to a later date that suits you (don’t worry, I’ll keep a close eye on the weather forecast beforehand and will give you plenty of notice if I decide to reschedule the session).

How does the £100 booking fee work?

When you book a session, you’ll be required to pay a £100 non-refundable booking fee to reserve your chosen time and date. A few weeks after your session we’ll meet again to view your images together, and the £100 you originally paid becomes a product credit that you can spend towards your artwork. You can view all of my available fine art products right here.

Does my dog have to be well trained?

While basic commands, like ‘sit’ and ‘stay’, are beneficial, the aim is to capture the personality of your dog, so you’re much more likely to get great shots if we allow them to act naturally and not force them into any uncomfortable situations.
I’d definitely recommend brushing up on your sit/stay commands in the days leading up to your session. If it’s still an issue, or your dog simply can’t be let off the lead, we can still work with them on lead and I will work on removing it during post-processing – you’d be surprised what a little bit of Photoshop wizardry can do!

Do I need to bring anything with me?

A portrait experience with The Artisan Hound is not unlike a regular walk – just imagine a few more pit stops and treats thrown into the mix! Just bring along the usual gear – lead, toys, treats, poo bags – and we’ll be fine. If you’d like your dog to wear a specific collar or accessory then bring it along (and please avoid harnesses if possible).
